Secondary Education Program Coordinator at the Connecticut Democracy Center (CTDC) and
support efforts to provide exciting academic opportunities for Connecticut’s secondary
students. The CTDC manages: Connecticut History Day, an official affiliate of National History
Day®, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution and Project Citizen, affiliate programs of
the Center for Civic Education.
Under the direction of the Director of Secondary Education Programs, this full-time role is
responsible for supporting the CTDC’s secondary education programs by working with the CHD
registration system, tracking participation data, booking and scheduling classroom workshops,
conducting workshops for students, helping to plan Educator workshops, scheduling and
meeting with regional coordinators, updating and monitoring the CHD website, crafting monthly
newsletters, managing social media, and assisting with the planning and execution of events,
including the six Connecticut History Day contests, We the People State Finals, and other
related events.

This in-person role requires a flexible schedule including expected and unexpected overtime,
both on- and off-site. Candidates must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation and
